Long Time Coming!
You may have known this little world as "Core," "Core Class," "ARG Core" or even "Crux Strength." As classy as each of those names are - I felt that the magic we create has outgrown them. Or at least, they don't help describe what we are now doing.
So, after many years say hello to Arctic Athlete!
Core Class was originated, back in the early aughts, for sport climbers who felt they needed a little more muscle balance and core development. It has since grown to support and train, what might best be termed as, "the casually aggressive athlete."
This has included quite a few regular Joes and Joans who also like to climb Everest or Denali, race the Iditarod trail (or drop off mountains) by ski or by bike, hunt the wily mountain sheep, train for Goruck, prepare for SF selection or just hang out with a bunch of cool people.
Most of these good folks have full-time jobs. Many have families. Few have loads of time. So, the workouts are intense, focused and carefully designed to cumulatively create a dramatically stronger, more resilient, more athletic and more enduring (possibly more endearing?) human being. People who can play hard when they want to even if they can't play as much as they want to.
So, Arctic Athlete. It's who we are. Just getting outside is a sport some days.
Anyhow, you won't find any new workouts at this site. Go to the new one.
See you there - Christian
